However research has figured out a way to turn zombies into to household servants fitting them with collars that allows their suburban family masters to control them.
Following one of these families the kid of the family being bullied by the kids as his school and finding little interest from his parents turns to their domesticated zombie for friendship. However the collar breaks and soon the zombie starts attacking people around him and there you have the basis for a zombie apocalypse.
It simply alienates the whole basic premise of the zombie theme. That said there are several cool small details and the tank like “Dead Reckoning” vehicle is also pretty kick ass.
Fido is a zombie comedy which never really gets you unsettled but does a good job to entertain and bridge that special 1950s kind of feel. In regards to the zombie comedy genre it however has a long way up to a movie like Shaun of the Dead which is our favorite in the subgenre.
