The story revolves around a pair of teenagers in love who end up in a motorcycle wreck which kills the girl. However, as the dad is in charge of top secret military lab where experiments on resurrecting the dead are being conducted, the boy takes his dead girlfriend to the lab to resurrect her in a somewhat zombified version and soon after they have been reunited, they are being chased by a group of Latino gang members.
Though the Romero & Juliet setting might be an interesting plot for a low budget zombie flick it never really seems that interesting or all that convincing and besides some gory scenes and a great appetite from the zombie chick we never really enjoyed the movie as much as the others.
As the apocalypse unfolds Shaun must also deal with his struggling relationship and a stepfather he is not too happy about.
Return of the living dead III is the worst of the 3 first movies and our verdict certainly reflects this.
